In which the pond celebrates the winner of the most destructive politician award ...

Naturally the reptiles are wildly excited about the entirely useless ACMA suddenly discovering its teeth and giving Andrew Probyn a hard time.

The pond also has a bone to pick with Probyn, since it's clear that the onion muncher is not just the most destructive politician in recent times (despite a close-run call with former chairman Rudd when in destructo bot mode) but also the most useless (allowing of course that in certain categories, such as the NBN, a politician of the Malware kind can win the category of most useless and destructive, without being up to the job of taking the overall title).

As evidence, the pond can do no better than cite the photo the reptiles chose to put the top of the oscillating fan's column …

Uh huh … of course the onion muncher remains at the top of the pond's banner for many reasons, an exceptional capacity for hypocrisy being one of them, as he vented a week ago about ASIC, story at Fairfax here

"What were the regulators doing to allow all this to be happening? And that's the thing that keeps occurring to me every time I read fresh revelations." Mr Abbott told 2GB radio on Monday.

"My fear is that at the end of this royal commission, we will have yet another level of regulation imposed on the banks when, frankly, what should happen is, I suspect, all the existing regulators should be sacked and people who are much more vigilant and much less complacent go in their place."

The Abbott government's 2014 budget set in motion $120 million of cuts to ASIC's funding over four years, leading to the loss of more than 200 staff. At the time, the government emphasised a greater role for self-regulation instead of state intervention. Former ASIC chair Greg Medcraft was vocal in his criticism of the budget cuts and pushing for tougher penalties for misconduct.

And so on, and tediously on, from a prime putz and the most destructive and hypocritical and useless politician in recent years, and nothing ACMA can say will take away that truth ...

Don't get the pond started on the conspiracy conducted by the onion muncher to destroy Pauline Hanson and send her to jail, followed by the even more nauseating spectacle of the two making up and doing lovey doveys at a book launch …

But at least the most destructive politician has produced some of the best cartoons, including this one, which for a change can be found here, together with others from 2014 …

And now this, for parrot and Caterist lovers everywhere …

That doesn't warrant a cartoon as a closer. That will do, pig, that will do ...
