In which the pond snacks on the dog botherer and Shanners for its Saturday treat ...

With prattling Polonius seemingly reduced to his media whine and bitch dog column this weekend, the pond was forced to look elsewhere, but no matter.

Whenever the dog botherer is on hand,  the pond is content, fulfilled, and that opening splash talking of the "democratic will" had a comfortable echo of Leni Riefensthal's Triump des Willens ...

The pond didn't quite understand the sentence - the dismissal of the democratic will underscores the reason it was imposed - but then the pond never understood Hitler either ... and the google splash suggested that des willens would get a more comprehensive going over ... while helping feed the pond's Godwin's Law swear jar ...

Indeed, indeed, wise words from a dog botherer who routinely rushes to judgment, and no doubt manages to do the same in his latest opus ...

Oh dear, another reptile tirade about social media emanating from the reptiles' Surry Hills bunker HQ. That makes the squillionth, or is it the trillionth?

As for the wisdom of the crowds, the pond is all in favour of it, as was Moir (and more Moir here).

Of course the pond can remember the time when anything doing the rounds, from mumps, measles, chicken pox through rural favourites like lice and worms were all the go, and you could still meet people with polio getting around with the help of calipers (though of all the fun, morphine while doing double pneumonia remains a favourite).

Never mind, the pond did appreciate the dog botherer including a bit of Shakespeare, and then when he turned all prophetic and biblical, and threw in a bit of Orwell and Waugh, life was complete ...

Indeed, indeed. The pond has long suspected the state of the world is entirely due to deviants and leftists and it is entirely their fault that the United States and so the world, ended up with Donald Trump ...  speaking, as we were, of social media ...

As for Pauline Hanson, there's certainly no way that any fellow travelling by a desperate Liberal party could have had anything to do with her recent high profile ...

More Wilcox here, as the pond gets a final gobbet of feel-good dog botherer ...

Indeed, indeed, there's nothing like Hanson setting the pace for trolling Islamics, because apparently the dog botherer is simply too afraid to discuss instances of social dislocation.

And with that thought from the gutless wonder, fellow travelling with the other gutless wonder reptiles who never say a thing about Islamics or climate science or the rest of it, is it any wonder that whenever the pond wants some truly ridiculous things said, if Hanson isn't available, then the trolling fatuities, stupidities and nonsense of the dog botherer will always fill the gap ...

Who can't enjoy tales told by idiots, signifying very little ...

But once the pond starts on this sort of gluten-free offering (isn't it grand to see the reptiles of Oz go desperate life style scribbling in a bid to score a few hits), it always feels more-ish, and fortunately, there was the lesser Shanahan out and about in her weekend best ...

Now strange things have been happening of late in the world of Shanners ...

If the pond might do a spoiler, Shanners isn't talking about the classic correct demographic shape of a medieval country where incessant talk amongst Catholics didn't always concentrate on growth, so much as the need to have a generation outlive the Black Plague ...

She's talking about the benefits of breeding, and if the Catholics won't do enough breeding, then prolific Islamics will have to do the job ... because there's simply not enough people in the world at the moment, and we need more, plenty more ...

Indeed, indeed.

Don't get the pond wrong. It is all in favour, as the child of immigrants (admittedly of long, Germanic and Celtic standing), of immigration.

Truth to tell, almost everything the pond has found interesting in life has had a pluralist, diverse tang to it, because of the way that immigrants are willing to tackle the tough jobs ...

Of course the pond occasionally seeks out white bread, which is why it spends weekend quality time with the lizards of Oz ...

Oh be still beating Tamworth heart ... you can still find the right bread at the Braidwood Bakery, and the right sort of food for thought at the lizard Oz ...

So that's where the dog botherer's talk of ridiculous things has led Shanners ... more breeding, wherever and however, and if Catholics won't do the job, others will ...

Well the pond only reports on the divergent trends on view in the world of the reptiles, so others might decide.

Of course this leads to a narrow, weird and wonderful view of the world, in which other important matters are routinely overlooked, but thank the long absent lord, there are cartoonists to hand to take care of them, including the infallible Pope, with more encyclicals here ...

Indeed, indeed, Tudgebot 9000...

  1. Did I mention I have nine children? God loves that.

  2. So the Dog Botherer, scribbler-for-hire on "The Daily Beast" and faithful acolyte of Lord Copper, is now quoting from "Evelyn Waugh's "Scoop". Faaark - satire and irony really are dead.

  3. "She trashed their confidence..." Did the dog-botherer not get the Credlin memo? Now that Peta's come clean, going on about carbon tax lies seems a little retro, even for the reptiles...
