In which the dog botherer takes the pond for a divisive walk ...

Jail her, lock her up, lock her up.  Forget due process ... where's Benito when he's needed? Why isn't there an Adolf for our parlous times? I did not have sexual relations with these women ...

The pond has been overdosing on American cable television as the fall of Rome seems to involve bulk groping, and so couldn't resist another dose of Steve Kates' Quadrant hysteria, presenting powerful arguments on the right to grope unencumbered because ... well because Rome, because the fate of the West rests in small hands ...

But enough of Quadrant, the pond can only dip into the paranoia for a moment without reeling away, and perforce in any case, the pond must remain loyal to the reptiles of Oz...

Who could resist admiring and mentioning that this weekend, the dog botherer was out and about strategising to help Malware ...

Yes, in the usual way of the rotating digital fickle finger of infamy, at one point the dog botherer slipped to the head of the inquirers section, where serious minds gather to think deeply...

There were other temptations ...

... but sadly such is the silliness of Kohler, he couldn't even work out why the NBN was a turkey and a dud, or how Malware's carrying out of the onion muncher's orders made it so ...

For that you have to turn to the cartoonists ...

Distractions, distractions ...

Now it's back to the dog botherer ...

Oh the difficult, vexing, vexatious gays.

Why they're almost as difficult and as tricky as climate science, damn them for their insolence and their talk of rights ...

Why, a competent, gradually reformist, comfortable centre-right government achieving meaningful progress in getting rid of renewable energy and restoring coal to its rightful place would see them right in due course - just ask Cory and Erica and Kevin, climate scientists and equal rights advocates in equal measure ...

It was around this point that the pond was reminded how ineluctably dumb the dog botherer is.

Why would he drag out 2009 as a reasonable compromise, when it was in fact a referendum artfully designed to sink the notion of a republic, and succeeded admirably?

And it did so in a way that artfully established that Malcolm Turnbull was a prat and an out of touch doofus.

Yes, the pond voted against the proposal. Almost any other proposal might have attracted the pond. Pre-selection by parliament of a select group of harmless leather seat fillers given the final stamp of approval by popular vote was one option, but the politicians wanted to reserve it all to themselves, as if the notion of having a popular vote was alien in a democracy ...

Well if it wasn't possible to have a vote, might as well have a monarch that didn't require a vote ...

Howard creamed Turnbull and then Abbott set up Malware with a poison chalice, and even as he drinks deep from the cup, the dog botherer doesn't get it ...

The idea of the current plebiscite was to stall, and perhaps in wildest dreams to defeat, the idea of SSM, and in the process allow for bigotry and homohobia to have its government-funded day in the sun.

You don't have to look far for examples of the profound bigotry surrounding the issue. Just google up #Auspol and you cop this sort of stuff ...

Redeeming Rainbow is a relentless hate machine of fear and loathing, and yet the dog botherer and Malware think this is just part of a reasonable compromise?

Now back to the dog botherer trying to help Malware ...

Actually, dog botherer, to the right is bigotry and homophobia, and that's where Malware has taken shelter ...

Yes Redeeming Rainbow is big in fascist imagery, and never mind what the fascists did to homosexuals in Germany while in power ...

Apparently the long absent lord gave gays the choice, and they just chose to bat for the wrong team ...

But let's not dwell on the simplistic posturing of simple-minded simpletons of the most appalling kind and apparently with some connection to fundamentalist Christians, though how this sort of stuff is in any way to do with Christian love escapes the pond.

Why not Greg Hunt the wiki here,  on the matter of biology and sexual orientation, taking due care to step around southern walri - while the long suffering with the stomach for it wrap up their encounter with the dog botherer ...

Divisive? Hypocrisy?

This is one of the least visually offensive images in the stinking pile of putrid bile and hate that litters the tweets of the Rainbow loon stewing in the juices of homophobia...

The dog botherer should get out more, and take Malware with him, and trawl through the gutters, but they never do.

They just sit on their hot rocks and wonder how to pander to the Georges, Corys, Ericas and other fundamentalists who sound just like the fundamentalist Xianity that's behind the Redeeming Rainbow ...

Well at least there's always old Pope's and new papal wit can be found here ...

  1. *whew* Well, that was a one-sentence brainfart stretched into an epistle. Has Kenny being taking windbag lessons from Ned?

I notice he oh-so modestly mentions he was Turnbull's Chief of Staff in 2009, but doesn't reach the obvious conclusion that if that was the quality of the hired help, it was no wonder Turnbull Leadership Mark 1 crashed and burned.

Kenny's certainly correct on one point though - Malcolm's achievements have been very, very modest.
